J.S. Bach

Partita No.1 in B flat major

I first heard this timeless baroque work in the 1970's - but not in its usual form.  I attended a live concert featuring the Jacques Loussier Trio in Adelaide - a French jazz ensemble that specialised in improvising upon the works of J.S. Bach.  I was so inspired I decided to learn the original - well at least some of it at the time.  In this 2021 recording I include all 6 movements, based as they are on very traditional German and French dance styles from the 17th century. All moods are covered!
